The Spirit of St. Louis with Alice

So I came home today to Sweden after traveling for more than a day on various flights around the globe.

As soon as I’ve arrived, my dad had to inform me that there had been some implications with our dog’s medical procedure. It eventually turned out that Alice had to be put to sleep due to her complications.

For some a dog is just a dog, but for me Alice was more than that.

She was a friend, someone that would always cheer me up no whether what. Someone I could confide in, even though she would never completely understand what I said. Someone that would always put on her best cheerful side, even though it wasn’t called for.

I could be sad, I could be blue, but her waggling tail would always cheer me up. To me she was everything. A spirit of true happiness, someone who would turn blue and down into happiness and cheerfulness. You will be missed, not just by me, but by a lot of people I know. Rest in peace.

Been there - cried for days.

Dogs make some of the most honest, forgiving, loyal, loving and downright fun friends you can have, and their passing really hurts.

God bless you, Alice - R.I.P.
