First swim
The weather is slowly getting better here (finally – after an entire week!) so last night I took the bike down to Cronulla beach for a swim.
The water temperature probably was something like 20 degrees, so it was a bit cold first before I got used to it.
Today I’ll be going into Sydney for some serious exploration!
J-j-j-jetlagged!
All right, just realized that I forgot to post about the arrival to Australia. I arrived yesterday the 11th around 06.30AM (GMT+11) after about 30 hours of travel. During all those 30 hours I basically slept 2 hours (air plane seats are extremely comfortable!).
After getting my stuff and getting through the customs I got picked up at the airport by Lena (the mother in the family I’m staying with) and we headed for the house. After I got settled in, unpacked my stuff and took a quick shower we took a little tour around the neighborhood and down to Cronulla. The weather could be better (it’s a bit rainy and windy), but it’s still a lot better than the überlame winter back in Sweden.
We also went to Miranda where we headed for the local mall – that thing is huge! I’ll explore it more thoroughly some other day. Since I was pretty darn tired, I fell asleep around 3PM and woke up at 1AM or something. I couldn’t fall asleep again after that (I guess my body’s still running on GMT+1) so I’ve spent the entire night working on a project for a client. I’m going to stay awake the entire day today, so hopefully I’ll get my sleep rhythm back on track the coming days.
I haven’t taken a lot of pictures so far but when I do they’ll be available on the photos page.
